OSLO, NORWAY (January 2020) — Helly Hansen is thrilled to be recognized as the ISPO Award Gold Winner for the new Arctic Patrol Modular Parka in the Outdoor segment. Featuring the optimal versatility and functionality of a three-layer system, the parka was voted as the best product in the Expedition Wear category by a panel of 42 judges from 13 countries spanning three continents.
Developed together with scientists living and working in the harshest climates, the Arctic Patrol Modular Parka is built with three layers, including a warm and soft insulator jacket made with Primaloft® Gold body mapping insulation and a HELLY TECH® Professional waterproof and breathable stretch shell. The last layer is a durable, heavy-duty, waterproof outerlayer with 200g Primaloft® Gold premium synthetic insulation, preferred by scientists because it stays drier and lighter than down alternatives. The three-layer system allows the wearer to mix-and-match in at least six different combinations for optimal warmth and functionality in any situation.
As the ultimate do-it-all parka for people who live and work in cold-weather climates, the Arctic Patrol Modular Parka comes with adjustable cuffs, hem and hood and ventilation zippers under the arms to let air in and keep cold out. Based on feedback from scientists working daily in the toughest conditions, the parka is also made with strategically placed pockets and loops so often-used tools and supplies can be easily accessed at any time. Additional features include a Life Pocket™, which preserves the battery life of mobile phones and electronics to stay connected on the job, and a waterproof bag which the parka can be packed into for easy travel and convenience.
“The design team and I are thrilled to be recognized as the ISPO Award Gold Winner for the Arctic Patrol Modular Parka,” said Kristoffer Ulriksen, Category Managing Director for Urban at Helly Hansen. “We set out to create professional-grade gear that can keep you protected in even the most unpredictable conditions, and we are excited that the parka’s customizable functionality received such sought after recognition.”
With a history reaching back over 140 years, Helly Hansen continues to deliver on high-performing gear, drawing from the invaluable insight of trusted professionals. The Norwegian-based brand is proud to be among the ISPO Award winners, which recognize products for their innovation, function and design.
The Arctic Patrol Modular Parka comes in both men’s and women’s specific styles and will be available instore and online in Fall 2020.
