DUBLIN—Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, today announced that the MobilePay payment method is now available to Stripe users in 29 countries.
By offering MobilePay, Stripe users can gain access to 6 million MobilePay customers in Denmark and Finland without additional contracts or modifying their code. Businesses like Refurbed, a circular economy marketplace for electronics, already use MobilePay as a payment option with Stripe.
With the addition of MobilePay, Stripe users now have access to more than 100 payment methods without writing a line of code. Stripe Checkout and the Payment Element display only the most relevant payment methods to each individual customer, based on device, location, and more.
The MobilePay integration also integrates seamlessly with Stripe Connect, enabling marketplaces and platforms to automatically pay out revenue or split payments to their partners.
“The MobilePay solution on Stripe makes it so seamless to onboard new customers, and we’ve seen conversion rates improve between 10-20%. Booking a service with us is as easy as buying groceries now, which will enable us to expand our customer base in Denmark”, says Saxo Merrild, CEO of HandyHand.
“Expanding our stack of payment methods, especially local options, has been proven to be very important for our revenue growth. The ongoing introduction of new services by Stripe, such as MobilePay, is a significant revelation for our business. Stripe empowers us to channel our time and energy towards pleasing our partners rather than getting bogged down by integration challenges,” said Milad Fallah, CEO of Werz.
“Adding local payment methods like MobilePay enables international businesses to drive greater customer engagement, boost transaction revenues, and maximize conversion. We’re thrilled to bring yet another local payment method to our European users.” said Margreet Brenkman, Head of Northern Europe at Stripe.
