Prime Minister Juha Sipilä's Government implemented a basic income experiment in Finland in 2017–2018. The first results of an evaluation study about the experiment are now complete. The results will be presented at a seminar.

Ministers Pirkko Mattila, Minister of Social Affairs and Health and Anu Vehviläinen, Minister of Local Government and Public Reforms will speak at the event. The results of the basic income study will be presented by Olli Kangas, scientific leader of the study and Professor of Practice at the University of Turku, Ohto Kanninen, research coordinator at Labour Institute for Economic Research, and Minna Ylikännö, Senior Researcher at Kela, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland.
