Four companies from the Dark Bear semifinals gained places in the Polar Bear Pitching Finals, an annual ice hole pitching competition held in Oulu, Finland. These companies are: 3DBear, QuietOn, Diske and Doc In The Air . They will join the pre-chosen finalists on Wednesday evening at 6pm (UTC+2) to pitch in an ice hole carved in the frozen Baltic Sea in Oulu Market Square, Finland.
Semifinals were judged by Juha Ruohonen (Superhero Capital), Jonathan Hirshon (Horizon Communications), Egill Masson (NSA Ventures), as well as last year's Polar Bear Pitching winner Didrik Dege Dimmen (Flow Motion Technologies).
Polar Bear Pitching finals take place on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017, in Oulu, Finland. In total 18 companies will be seen pitching their ideas from an ice hole. The winner of the competition wins € 10K cash prize, as well as two weeks stay in Hacker Hotel Mustakarhu and an office from Plug-and-Play Tech Center for two weeks, both located in Silicon Valley.
