The green transition introduces new names to the list of successful companies. Enerqo Oy, which specializes in the electrification of buses and heavy traffic, has increased its turnover to over three million euros in less than two years time, of which the operating result was in 2021 5.5%.
The company, which started in 2020, reveals that it will significantly expand its operations in Finland already this year. The goal is to become the market leader in the industry. In addition to buses, Enerqo has started supplying charging systems to the market for other heavy-duty vehicles and machines as well.
"Everything that can be electrified will be electrified," concludes Enerqo's Mikko Summala on the progress of electrification of heavy traffic.
Enerqo is charging already more than half of Finland's electric buses. The company's equipment is used for around 250 charging pistols and 13MW of charging power in major cities located in southern Finland.
“We take care of the total delivery, i.e. we import, design, install and maintain the charging system for the customer. The turnkey principle ensures that the customer does not find him/herself in a situation where some vital aspects of the delivery are missing, such as the electricity company's connection work,” Summala describes further.
