The company is working hard to improve corporate responsibility and reporting. Our focus is on the reliability, security, availability and climate impact of our services. A determined effort has been made to improve staff satisfaction, with good results.
Elisa has a major role in Finnish society as an investor, an employer and a payer of taxes and dividends. Elisa supports the sustainable development objectives of our customers through eco-friendly ICT and online solutions that also serve to reduce our impact on the environment.
Elisa has been measuring the empowerment index of its staff systematically since 2005, and staff satisfaction in 2016 reached an all-time best. This is further reinforced by Elisa's high ranking among large companies in the Best Workplaces in Finland survey. The results will be used to continuously improve our operations.
"Responsibility is an integral part of our daily business, as we have an important role in enabling the digitalisation of the various functions in society. Hence it is important for us to be there and help our stakeholders of all ages in integrating their lives to the emerging digital world. We are committed to the United Nations Global Compact initiative and selected from UN sustainable development goals the targets which to from Elisa's and stakeholders view, Elisa businesses can contribute most," says Minna Kröger, corporate responsibility director at Elisa.
Elisa Corporation was included in the international FTSE4Good responsible investment index in 2016. The index is designed to measure the performance of companies that meet globally acknowledged corporate standards of responsibility in terms of environmental, social and governance practices.
