Elisa Corporation, Press release 11 April 2017
The first cross-sector ranking showing for the first time how well the world's top public companies perform on gender equality was published today. Equileap ranked over 3,000 listed companies from 23 countries. Elisa was the only Finnish listed company to make it to the Top 10 and ranked 9th in the international comparison.
The ranking was based on 19 criteria covering leadership, career development, work-life balance, equal pay, family leave, as well as health & safety. The analysis was based on survey as well as sustainability reporting.
– At Elisa diversity is seen as an essential part of corporate responsibility and as a factor in success that enables achievement of strategic targets and continuous improvement of customer intimacy. We promote equality and womens career development for example by supporting modern ways of working to enable flexible work-life balance. The realisation of equality is monitored also in personnel enquiries, says Minna Kröger, Corporate Responsibility Director at Elisa.
