The EuroSafety, Workplace Welfare and Logistics events organised at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre from 13 to 15 September 2016 as well as the Occupational Health Convention organised in Tampere for the first time, brought together 8636 professionals from the fields of safety, well-being at work, material handling and logistics. On the opening day, the recognition for Internal Logistics 2016 was awarded to Altia Corporation, whilst Lindström and Silmäasema were awarded for the best stands. The fair event will be organised for the next time in 2018, with even more extensive participation by the safety sector.
“The Occupational Health Convention, now organised for the 62th time, took place in Tampere for the first time. It was organised in conjunction with the Workplace Welfare, EuroSafety and Logistics trade fairs. It was great to participate in the event attracting thousands of visitors, and the atmosphere was just perfect, right from the very morning. The decision to come to Tampere was the correct thing to do, and we intend to continue here in 2018. This was a good beginning, and next time we shall do things even bigger and better,” says Antti Koivula, Director General of the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
The safety sector will present itself more extensively in 2018 – the fire and rescue departments will also return to Tampere
“There were high expectations regarding the synergies of these four events, and the successful event proved that this is an excellent package. The visitors were of high standard, and just the right professionals attended. Occupational safety will absolutely come to Tampere next time as well, and even bigger,” says Jukka Nylander, the Chairman of STYL, the Association of Finnish Suppliers of Labour Safety Equipment.
“The entire safety sector will once again present itself in Tampere in 2018, as the fire and rescue operations will also be exhibited at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre,” says Timo Kangasniemi, the Chairman of SPLY, the Association of fire-fighting enterprises in Finland.
