FINNCLEAN WILL INTRODUCE TOMORROW'S CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
The international cleaning industry trade fair Finnclean will take over the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Center from 30 September until 2 October 2014. The Finnclean Trade Fair is held every three years and it is the biggest and most significant cleaning industry trade fair in the Nordic region. The event coming up this autumn has already gained a lot of attention within the industry, so it is expected that this will be the largest Finnclean Trade Fair ever. The main theme will be Tomorrow's challenges and solutions. The Finnclean Trade Fair will be organized by Tampere Trade Fairs Ltd on behalf of the Finnish Association of Cleaning Technology (SSTL). The trade fair has been held since 1981. The CITW2014 Congress will be held in connection with the Finnclean Trade Fair on 29 and 30 September.
“The Finnclean Trade Fair is known to be an important and popular meeting place among cleaning industry professionals. Now this event will be bigger and more diverse than ever before. The number of exhibitors has already exceeded that of 2011 with over 120 companies from many different countries attending. Companies have been very interested, which means that there clearly is a need for a cleaning industry event. The 2014 theme, Tomorrow's challenges and solutions, is strongly represented in the program. With the help of the main theme and the daily themes we want to show that cleanliness and hygiene will continue to have an important role within different industries,” says Project Manager Mikael Wänskä of Tampere Trade Fairs Ltd.
Tendering, hygiene, cleanliness and well-being are major topics – both people and properties need care

The opening seminar will take place on Tuesday 30 September and the speaker will be Karoliina Jarenko, CEO of the Helsinki Academy of Philosophy, who will talk about the ways to compete using your personnel's internal motivation. The topical textile care seminar will focus on hygiene matters, legislation reforms, smart textiles and future challenges.
The theme for Wednesday 1 October (Hoiva & Oiva) includes, for example, quality criteria, special characteristics of the HoReCa and care industries, well-being, hygiene in food establishments and the oivahymy.fi system. The theme for Thursday 2 October, Clean and healthy properties, will deal with the topic from spatial design to maintenance and from the choice of materials to life cycle. The purpose is to discuss how the well-being of people and the physical structures of society are maintained through the appropriate choice of materials as well as the care and cleanliness of those materials. The second theme for Thursday, Young cleaning industry professionals, is targeted at students with a specialized program. Suomen Kotipalveluyhdistys ry's seminar will discuss future services for people at home, self-monitoring in private social services, new learning environments and future technology and housework robots.
There is also plenty to see and hear in the separate program areas. The Circuit of wellbeing – Energy for a better working space offers tips on relaxation, ergonomic work practices and maintaining and improving one's working ability.
