Pohjolan Energia Group, the market leader in small-scale solar energy systems in Finland, has appointed Sami Leinonen M.Sc. (Eng.) 46, as the new CEO of the Group.
Leinonen will move to Pohjola Energia from his position as Managing Director of Mondi Örebro AB - bringing his strong experience of international business development and management to the company. Before Mondi, he worked e.g. in several positions in the UPM Group, including Director of Paper Business Europe at UPM Raflatac and at Honkarakenne Plc as Vice President responsible for the business in Finland and Baltics. “In Sami, we are getting an excellent leader for our internationally growing business. Sami has successfully managed and developed businesses both in Finland and international markets, always working strongly at the customer interface,” says Lasse Liimatta, CEO of Pohjolan Energia Oy. Liimatta will focus on managing the Group’s Finnish business in the future.
