At the beginning of September 2015, Aalto University Properties Ltd and Aalto University Campus Services will merge to create the Aalto University Campus & Real Estate (Aalto CRE) unit. The two units have previously cooperated to a great extent, but have operated separately.
Through a transaction completed between the state-owned Senate Properties and the Aalto University Foundation, Aalto University Properties Ltd has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Aalto University Foundation since August 25, 2015. A visual image will be created for Aalto CRE that is consistent with the visual images of the other subsidiaries of Aalto University (Aalto EE, Aalto ENT and Aalto PRO).
The name Aalto University Campus & Real Estate and the logo of the new unit reflect a dynamic, international unit that serves Aalto University and its partners on the campuses of the university. The Aalto CRE service unit allows for more efficient and flexible use of facilities in line with the Aalto University strategy, focusing on interaction and inspiring research and learning environments.
“This change is not just about the visual image. We want to develop a more customer-focused unit in terms of operating methods and ways of thinking. Our goal is to create a live, interactive, internationally known campus that supports cooperation with local companies and other operators. The brand redesign also serves to highlight the globally unique meeting places and community-focused facilities provided by the Aalto University campuses,” says Antti Tuomela, Managing Director at Aalto University Properties.
The new visual image will gradually be integrated into communications related to Aalto University Properties and university campus services. Employees’ email addresses will also be harmonized.
