During the upcoming weeks Finnish clothing brand Billebeino will donate 15% of all their sales profit to Apuna Ry’s work towards supporting families of low-income in the crisis caused by the Coronavirus.
Billebeino and Apuna Ry will start intensive co-operation. Until April 15th Billebeino will donate 15% of their sales profit to Apuna Ry’s work towards supporting families with low-income.
“During these exceptionally hard times we at Billebeino want to take responsibility and help those in need. Especially now it is extremely important to work together and look after each other,” says Ville Leino founder of Billebeino.
The Coronavirus pandemic primarily affects families with low-income whose parents are doing their best to come up with ways to feed their children and themselves. Apuna Ry charity does everything possible to help these families during the state of urgency Coronavirus has caused.
“Distressed parents who are unable to buy food for their families reach out to us daily. Many children are unable to attend school lunches because they are at risk to fall sick. They are forced to live without a daily hot meal,” says Heidi Jaari, chair of Apuna ry’s board.
“We help these families with food and donations so that no child has to be hungry in this exceptional situation. We need all the support we can get to be able to help.”
Billebeino will release a video carrying the name ”Tribe – what do you stand for?” on its social media platforms and announce the partnership with Apuna ry. The video was filmed before the Coronavirus pandemic spread to Finland. You can watch the video from this link.
“As the President of Finland Sauli Niinistö said: during these times: When we cannot be together physically as in the video it is with the utmost importance to seek mental proximity,” Leino says describing the video’s message.
