People-friendly planning and the temporary as a strategic tool for change

Gehl Architects is one of the most highly respected offices worldwide in the field of urban design and city planning. Their methodology and planning strategies have led to successful public spaces and changed mobility cultures in cities like Copenhagen, London, New York and Melbourne.
Architect and urban planner Ewa Westermark, partner at Gehl Architects, has been a member of the core team at the Danish office since 2005. In her presentation she will introduce the achievements and methods of the office that have led to a positive change towards more people-oriented cities.
